Resources Unlimited Human Development Foundation, 501c(3), was founded by Virginia Palmer in 1996. The RU programs foster personal leadership, partnership models, environmental responsibility and community service. Resources Unlimited Foundation has a 30-year history of successful youth, teen and adult development programs conducted in Austin and Los Angeles. As Executive Director of People For Parks, Los Angeles, Virginia created, implemented successful youth empowerment programs and community gardens in East Los Angeles areas. Virginia was a director/consultant in LA County’s CLASS Parks and Youth Plus program.
Virginia is on the Board of Director for Save Our Springs Alliance in Austin. She presents “Barton Springs University 101” at area high schools. Virginia gives her time and energy to Bill Oliver’s Mother Earth Day Festivals at the Springs and his Lady Bird Lake Expeditions. Both events have been produced for Austin middle school kids for 17 years.
